Madách Imre room
When Madách Imre visited Szirák, he stayed in today’s room number 45 which commemorates the name of its famous occupant. Madách wrote one of the chapters of „Az ember tragédiája” (Tragedy of the Man).
Gerando-Teleki room
De Gérando Ágostné Teleki Emma was the smaller daughter of Brunszvik Karolina and Teleki Imre. With her behaviour and amazing demeanour she stole everyone’s heart.
Teleki László room
László Teleki was one of the main opposition leaders of the 1843-44 National Assembly and one of the leading figures in political life. László Teleki was born here in the Szirák Castle
Umbertusz Péter room
After the Tatar invasion, the monastery in Szirák still survived. In 1274, Péter Umbertusz excelled as the head of the monastery, he was also the head of the monastery in Tolmács and Szomolya, and he was connected with the Johannite knights.
Mohorai-Vidfi János room
Although few people are familiar with the history of Szirák, we cannot leave out the name that once meant a lot to the village. In 1453, János Mohorai-Vidfi received the knights' estates in Szirák as ecclesiastical property.
Mikszáth Kálmán room
Kálmán Mikszáth was one of the most famous writers of his time. Before becoming a member of parliament, it was in Szirák where earned his living as a clerk and stayed in this room of the castle several times.
Roth Johanna room
Johanna Roth's father was Tamás Királyfalvi-Róth, and her mother was Borbála Wattay. Through his marriage with József Teleki, Szirák became the property of the Teleki family.
Teleki Pál room
Count Pál Teleki is one of the most famous of the Teleki family. His views brought him into conflict with the government and forced him to flee. He used the passage in the castle wall to escape, as he had to act quickly.
Orlé Miklós room
This room is also named after a prominent historical figure. One of the owners of Nógrád County was Miklós Orlé, who ruled the region in the 16th century.
Teleki Sámuel room
Sámuel Teleki had the reputation of a real explorer who always looked for the unknown and found it. He travelled to Africa and areas that had not yet been explored. Among other things, he named Lake Rudolf.
Teleki József room
József Teleki, politician, historian and governor-general of Transylvania, also excelled in writing, with several major works published. He was the founder and first president of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the creator of the Academy Library.
Dégenfeld Lajos room
Through marriage, the castle came into the hands of the Degenfeld family, who stayed here until 1944. Lajos Degenfeld loved to farm his estates in Nógrád County and participated in the public affairs and political life of the county.
Wattay Borbála room
Borbála Wattay was the wife of Tamás Róth Királyfalvi, they started the renovation of the castle. Her name is preserved not only in the room, but also in the rich brow ornament above the entrance, which bears his name in Latin and the year of completion of the reconstruction.
Teleki Blanka room
A distant relative of the Széki-Teleki family, Blanka Teleki, a pioneer of Hungarian women's education in the national spirit and language. The princess charm of the white room that bears her name captivates every lady.

This Oriental-style Superior room is located in our Wellness building. This section differs from the main building and the wings of the castle in its ambience and furnishings, to help you relax and unwind.
Classic room
7 of our Classic rooms are located on the roof terrace of the right and left wings of the castle. With their old-fashioned furnishings, they offer not only comfort and relaxation, but also a trip back in time.
Gregg suite
The suite is named after the son of Forever Resorts CEO Rex Maughan. A secret staircase leads from here to the Rex suite, as the couple did not share a room in the past. The Gregg suite is now also comfortable and spacious for couples.
Rex suite
The Rex suite was named after the current owner of the castle, the manager of Forever Resorts. Count Pál Teleki lived in the room, and a secret passage connects it to the room of the countess. Anyone can admire the iron door in its original form.
Johannita suite
The hospital of the Johannite knights once stood in this place, they built the predecessor of the castle as a fortress. It was under their authority for about 300 years, together with the partially unexplored cellar system under the castle.
Királyfalvi-Róth Tamás suite
Tamás Királyfalvi-Róth was the first of the castle's noble owners to start major reconstruction works. He and his wife, Borbála Wattay, emphasized the uniqueness of the castle by creating a unique architectural phenomenon interspersed with diverse, picturesque contours.
