Room history
Wattay Borbála was Királyfalvi Róth’s wife. Together, they began the renovation of the castle. Her name is not only remembered with this room, but also with the brow ornament above the main entrance which has their names and the date of the end of the renovation written on it. It’s a real treasure because it’s the only source that tells us when the reconstructions took place. Years later a fire broke out in the castle so the renovations began once again. Borbála’s daughter Johanna became Teleki József’s wife. This is how the castle came into the possession of the Teleki family.
