Swinging ninepins

Our swinging ninepins alley is not a fun activity only for children, but also for adults. This recreation option serves as a program for the whole family since children and grown-ups can play and spend time together.

You have never tried it before? It’s time to do so!

Swinging ninepins is an ageless game that started to spread in the 1960s, mainly in holiday resorts, corporate sports grounds and beaches. You can see it less and less today, but our castle hotel is one of the places where you have the opportunity to play this game.

The point of the game is to swing a ball hanging on a rope to go around the standing pins and to knock as much of the nine over as it can on the way back. Knocking them over on the way there doesn’t count as points. The player should grab the ball after the hit in order not to topple anymore and to put it in the middle again. There are two forms of rules known, one is the full throw rule whose point is to knock over as many pins as you can with the given amount of throws, and the other one is striking rule where you have to knock them over with as little amount of throws as you can.

If you like retro games and would like to bring your family or friends together, the swinging ninepins in always a great choice!
