Room history
Mikszáth Kálmán was one of the most known authors of his time. Before he became a member of the Parliament, he earned his living as a notary and he stayed in the castle numerous times in the room that bears his name today. Szirák was a district capital and the Castle served as a central element in the village, which made it quite popular. The notaries and authors of the time all liked to spend time here.
