The Rex suite was named after the present owner of the mansion, the managing director of Forever Resorts. As a matter of interest, the word rex is of Latin origin, it means king. It is only a coincidence that Count Teleki Pál himself lived in this room. Room 21 is connected to room 22, where the countess lived. A secret passage behind a wall leads to the other room, and the rumours say the count received his lovers through that. The iron door has been preserved in its original form, anyone can admire it.
Teleki Pál had a conflict with the government because of his political ideas, and when the gendarmes came to take him away, he ran away through the secret passage. It is interesting that these secret passages could still be used, as we have modernised them, so there is no need to take candles!
